The key things to look at from the physical aspects are will you pass a physical exam. The military uses the same exam and there are conditions that disqualify you from being eligible to join the service. Then there are general height to weight standards that you need to fall within... if you fall outside of them they conduct a body fat test. Then upon entry - at your first officer basic course and then in the future at your unit - you will have periodic physical fitness tests (PT tests) that has basic requirements for a 2mile run, pushups, and situps based on your gender and age. (you can google army PT tests standards for more info). The KEY thing is knowing that you can enter... don't worry about passing once you are accepted (ie don't worry as much... ) If you have any medical questions you can google the military entrance processing requirements and there are regs or online forums and such...

Now you can look forward and see do you want ADN to army reserves.. or want to get a BSN and enter a different branch. There ar entry points at 2 years and 1 year out from BSN.. so in theory you could attend a ADN to BSN program and while within the program apply and ideally be accepted prior to your graduation.. Feel free to send specific questions if you like - along with branch preference.

Faeriewand, congrats on your program. I can share some general info but would first ask what specific questions you have about it.. ie process to get in? general army questions? army nurse questions?
When you said you are in an LVN - RN program, will you be graduating with your BSN in 2010?

hello i am an LVN student and was intersted in asking you how long you had to wait for the LVN-RN step up program at city college? I always see on the class schedule on the sdccd.edu webiste that they always have extra seats available in the transition courses. Do you know how this works?
