Hi, Meg. I've been following a thread called Nurse vs. Not, about people who aren't nurses posting on allnurses.com. I was just about to cite you as an example of someone who isn't a nurse, but has definitely earned the right to be here (not that I think it's necessary to earn it.) I'm always happy to see your posts, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that, and I feel like I've learned things from the experiences you've shared that help me be a better nurse. And I'm probably not alone in that, either. But I didn't know whether I ought to mention you--even semi-anonymously-- without seeing whether you'd mind. So, would you mind?

Umm... not meaning to be cruel, but I don't understand why a patient is on a site designed for nurses. Are you planning on going to nursing school in the future? As much as you have been around the medical I think you should consider it. Your interest and your experience as a patient could be a valuable asset to providing quality nursing care.

Meg, I would never think myself better than anyone else. I'm not certain why you feel I do based on agreeing with others in here about having a place for just nurses go to discuss things. I'm sorry if you feel that way.
