Actually, I live in Hoffman Estates. It's 66 miles round trip. I work with many people who also live in the burbs and they take the train. I work nights so that's not an option.
I used to live in the city loing ago and there are many positive things about it. The negative (I believe) is higher taxes, city sticker for your car and the traffic. I readily admit the drive sucks but I'm not sure if the time in the car would be any less as driving on city streets in rush hour sucks!
Hope this helps. I know you'll enjoy your time at Rush.

Hi MedpsychRN. I am starting employment at Rush next week and very much looking forward to it. Hope I am not being too nosey but, I was wondering if you commute to work or live in Chicago. The reason I ask is because I currently live in the suburbs of Chicago and am potentially thinking of moving but not sure where to. Any thoughts as to where a good place (chicago or suburbs of chicago) to live while working at Rush? Thanx
