Thanks Destinyfay! My transplant is almost 10 years old. I am happy to hear your son is doing well now. I definitely recommend nursing to you. My transplant is what inspired me to be a nurse. After researching in detail and understanding what was wrong with me - I realized I had an aptitude for medicine. I was in the large mainframe computer software biz for 20 years, and then became a nurse after my transplant. Nice to "meet you".

Just curious...when did you receive your liver transplant? My son received a living donor kidney transplant August 30, 2007. Before he was born I was starting my nursing education but once all "HECK" broke loose when he was born my education pretty much went on hold. After NG, G-tubes, Sepsis, Dialysis, EPO Shots and all of the other "goodies" I dealt with I decided that I needed to get back on track and finish my nursing education. So I am starting nursing school this October and am so excited and positively nervous. Anyways I find transplant patients to be some of the most wonderful people with insight to so much, even my 5 year old has taught me so much. I hope life has treated you well and you experience years of health and happiness.
