- Feb 23, 2009 10:12 AM - permalinkSpidey's momLeslie - thank you for your kind words. It has been very hard. Marlow was a very special guy. steph
- Still too nervous to really tell. Yesterday he was a bundle of nerves; but, today, he seemed to recognize me and jumped up on the cage to try to reach me. He seems to use his paws a lot but when he lies down, he goes into a ball-that's why I couldn't choose between the 2 names since he is a little of both name, so far.
The shelter didn't allow me to take him out of the pen/cage today; so, will get to be with him and comfort him tomorrow after surgery. He was delivered to the vet by the shelter a half hour ago. 2 hours before his scheduled execution. I didn't trust them in accidentally putting him down since they were not going to relocate his spot away from the green mile. - Thank you so much for the Birthday wishes. Christopher gets to have the day to himself. My birthday is tomorrow, so it works out great in terms of being with Guido-Meatball. Didn't want to post that info on the board so I can avoid people at work finding out who I am.
- LOL. No, they aren't knee-highs. Wow! I guess you weren't kidding about being shallow!
But just for the record, I haven't worn knee-highs since I ran the high hurdles on the Varsity track team in high school.; and that was a lo-ongg time ago.
I think they're all "Performance Socks" but I have a variety (mostly because every time I go to buy a new pair I can't remember what I bought the last time!
) I think I have "Hiking Medium Crew", "Trekking Heavy Crew", and "Hunting Extra-Heavy".
So, did I pass muster?
Can I still be your friend?
(Hmmmmm........ maybe that last smilie is a little over the top; I don't want you to think I'm a sycophant.)
- Feb 16, 2009 05:49 PM - permalinkflightnurse2bthanks leslie! i think it will be super exciting once i have the money to go pick out the dress of my dreams.. i have already picked out my bridesmaids, however... he has two sisters, one of which i don't want in my wedding. it's so sad how much i wish for her to go back in jail.. i have nightmares about her ruining my day, which is part of the reason why we haven't started planning too. i told him i want a cake with two nurses on top... he thought that was very silly... but it is how we met. i was thinking something simple, maybe a barefoot beach wedding. however... i have to find a catholic priest willing to do it so my grandmother doesn't beat me to death with a wooden spoon.

- Feb 16, 2009 05:23 PM - permalinkflightnurse2byes! but we haven't even thought about planning anything. we are too poor, lol. i'm thinking maybe...... fall 2010 or spring 2011? weddings are so expensive and i have such a HUGE family that i don't wanna leave anyone out, but i don't wanna have a huge wedding. it'll happen eventually... we've lived together for almost 3 years... and we argue over money already, anyway.

- Thanks for the add, Leslie. BTW, they were "smart wool" socks..... sorry to burst your bubble.

- Yeah, I'm sticking around I paid my $30. bucks, lol. Thanks , my little Ava is a beauty. I wasn't feeling at at well for a while, flair up of the RA and then my daughter had complications and oh I dont know i just sort of fell away, but I would miss coming here, so I decided what the heck im just going to drop right back in.
- Hi Leslie, my friend. how are things? How is your daughter doing? How about yourself? Still in hospice?
