    I did work as a PCA in MO. Here there a few hospitals that have their own program. If you are hired you are trained for 6 weeks and paid while being trained. Once completed you had to pass a test and if you passed you were offered a job on one of the floors. Financially I couldn't make it on what I was being paid $10.xx an hour but I really loved it. Had I been able to afford it I would have stayed. We basically did what a CNA does, bed changes, accu checks etc. You might want to check to see if any of the hospitals in your area offer this type of program. They are usually flexible with scheduling if you are going to school and help with tuition.
