    Hi Jane!
Thanks for the reply! Is the program in The Dalles a 2 yr program? How far along are you? I'm 2nd year at Seattle Central. I think our school has a lot to offer but needs to work to retain students. I'm surprised by a lot of the negative responses on my thread. We're just wanting to get a dialogue started and any changes aren't even likely to affect our class. This has been an interesting process and we're just getting started. Thanks again, and good luck with your program!

Hi Crystalship, Jane here, formerly of Everett, WA. I am in NS in The Dalles, Oregon. In my program, you must maintain a total percentage in theory of 77%, which is the bottom score possible for a C. We have an extremely high pass rate here, I believe it's near 100%. They do use HESI here, but no one fails that their first year. I have heard of people failing the 2nd, but they always remediate, and then graduate, and then pass NCLEX.

I do know that Everett Community College will fail out students if they get less than a B. They have a really good reputation, but they have some teachers who are pretty nasty, just like anywhere else.

Are you a attending NS at Seattle Central? If not, where?

    Jane (former seattleite)
