    Yes, I have lived in AZ my whole life. As far as the market I hear mixed things, but all in all I think that nurses do great here. As for teacher's there were just a bunch of first and second year teachers laid off last week. So much for a recession proof job. I too have a bachelor's degree (in Interior Design) so you can see why I am going back to school for nursing. lol...I have 3 small children and am looking for a great profession that will allow me time with my kids while making good money.

    Hello,
    I just read your post and had to e-mail you!! I, too, am going the LPN route and then will continue on for my RN. It is my goal to move to AZ in the near future. I currently live in MI and am waiting for my last child to finish high school (next year). Have you always lived in AZ? Do you know how the market is for nurses there? In MI, that is the only field that seems to be hiring. I also have a degree in teaching however the market here is saturated of teachers (we are a dime a dozen!!).
