Conversation Between mom and nurse and gericare001

What made you decide to go for your ANP? I'm a new BSN grad and was thinking about getting my GNP, but have heard so many discouraging comments from this board ...such as , you're limiting yourself, you should go for the FNP or ANP...so I was thinking that maybe going for the ANP and then specializing in rehab would be something closer to the GNP (or rather working with the elderly pop) and not limiting myself and being more marketable. I'd welcome any comments or thoughts from you, considering that you've already completed your ANP. Did you have a difficult time obtaining a ANP job in rehab post graduation?
