I actually am not enrolled in the ISU program. Its still an option, but I can't bring myself to focus enough to do the test outs. So I'm going to be taking the pre-reqs at a CC for now. I might actually even try to to an LVN-RN ADN program, then RN-BSN after. I know there are a few people out there who have graduated from ISU. And I'm working with an LVN who is just starting the program. Its possible, but difficult.

I have not started the clinical portion of the program as of yet, I am to start in August of this year. To complete the four classes that we test out of I am using regular books or looking for someone that already has the study guides, but I refuse to go thru TCN because it costs way to much. The current classes so far seem to be okay, but I am not looking for the program to be super easy, because this is a BSN program. I think this is a great program just because of that fact alone, to go from lpn to BSN is great.

Well all I can tell you is don't go through TCN....since you have a BA ISU can tell you what you need through your DARS (a report of classes needed to take towards graduation).....the only reason you would need TCN is for the 4 CSM (nursing test) that you have to test out of for college credit. And even with that you can find people to sell you there book or use old textbooks. I am enjoying doing online...I plan to apply for the nursing part in June which starts in the Fall09. I work weekends only full time and devote my time off to studying. If you have the discipline go for it.......and you have a great advantage having a degree already. Now if you go to ISU website and browse the program you get alot of info....as well as calling them. They have been very helpful to me Plus keep looking through here there are threads for ISU FAQ's and for current students and also a closed thread with hundreds of information. Now I will tell you if you are not a do for yourself person it might not be for you....meaning you find your on clinical preceptor and things like that.......if I can help in any way let me know.

I'm not in the program, but there are a few here that are. You might want to look them up on the boards and ask them. Good luck!!
