- Well I got my first CNA class out of the way!! It wasn't too bad besides the fact that it was pretty nice out and had to be in the building for 8hrs of a Saturday. Seems like a pretty easy course so far! How have you been doing?
- My CNA class starts on April 18th, so I am anxiously waiting for that to come... I am taking one other class right now and that is Human Physiology. I am finding already that physiology is a LOT more interesting than Human Anatomy. I'll be glad to get it over with, but should probably review my anatomy some lol
- Hey, getting excited for this quarter to start? I know I am. Though I'll have to wait a couple more weeks for the CNA stuff... What day do yours start again? I was rereading you messages but couldn't find it for the life of me..I'm not used to getting up as early as I did and am out of it lol
- Hey, quilting is still something!
I don't think I can even do that, I'd end up with uneven squares and crooked lines. I know that working full time will suck while doing CNA courses. My schedule switches every which way because school gets out (I clean in a school) so we go from evenings to days, then to mid-day schedules .. its nuts! And I can't wait until I can get a job as a CNA.. - Oh cool, yeah SCC doesn't let you know about clinicals or anything like that yet. I wish they did, but I guess I'll have to wait until the class starts to find out. Hopefully I can get into clinicals at a hospital rather than LTC...I am hoping to eventually work in a hospital later on.
I cannot sew either, but wish I could. And I took a sewing class! I made it through that class making a TON of pillows lol! - Ohh nice! So you wil be done with CNA classes about the same time I am then. Mine is from 4/18 until 7/27. I wish it was "shorter" but I guess thats the one day a week thing kicking in. I would call around some Goodwills in Omaha and see if they have lots of scrubs.. My shirts that I found were practically brand new and one of them was a Dickies brand which I'm sure had to be $30some brand new. I know Wal Mart also has some decent scrub tops, I just had to find my pants at a specialty place for the right fit. Been trying to do some research on my shoes, which sucks because I just bought some new shoes for work, but they are all black and I need all white!!!
- lol sorry, I'm still figuring this thing out here. That's cool! There were a lot of people in Lincoln this last weekend, it was crazy! I think lots of them were here for basketball...I'm sure the State Troopers loved that on the interstate
I did get into the CNA class though it doesn't start until April 18th and is on Saturdays. Last weekend I found two white scrub tops at the goodwill for only $2.50 each! I had to find white pants at a uniform store because I like them to be a bit looser on the bottoms rather than clingy. But those were only $14 because I got a 15% SCC discount (which I didn't know about at the time). I feel so nerdy being excited about getting scrubs lol
Am still waiting to hear from Bryan if I got in or not, I won't find out until sometime in June. Its going to feel like forever! - Well, I registered for the CNA course at SCC last Monday!! I won't find out until next week if I am in the class or not .. hopefully I will get in the one I want. Signed up for Saturdays, use less gas money!!
