My quarter started back in March... almost a third of the way thru it now. Quarter ends May 20th and CNA starts June 6th, along with A&P I... So I will be slammed! LOL You start here pretty quick for your CNA, are you taking any other classes at SECC?

I made one evil looking lopsided frog in home ec... it was bad. I can quilt, but that doesn't really count. Yeah, Metro does give me clinical schedules, but they are going to be grueling. I have to work Monday thru Friday full time and then school on the weekend. I'm excited, but not.

Mine actually ends the week before yours on 7/11, with the week of July 4th off. It's Saturday and Sunday 8-5:30, and two clinicals that run 6am to 7pm. Fun, right? LOLI did look at the Goodwills here, but I have a fit issue because my upper half is way to big for most of the tops I find. I think I may pick up a larger size and see if my Mom can tailor it for me. (I so do not sew. I'd have no armholes or something if I did it.! LOL) I'm not sure what I am going to do for shoes at all yet. I wear heels at my office job now, so I am going to have to really look around and see whats out there!

Very cool... I was in Lincoln again, and yes, it's so busy! I love State tourney time, we went every year when I was in high school, it was so much fun.I got my acceptance letter for the CNA clas in June at Metro, it runs for 5 weeks, so until mid July. I think I am going to pursue that course once I am done, just depends on where I can land a job that will work with school. I'm getting excited! I haven't had any luck finding Scrub tops. I think I will have to go to a uniform store too... and we get a similar discount, so that will be nice. (I know, I'm a big nerd too... I can't wait! Oooo, and watch shopping, need to do that to!)Keep me posted on your classes, it will be nice to have someone to give me a heads up on what it is like, even if it's a different school!

Hey! I didn't get you message (it posted on your page and I just now checked! LOL)
Did you get into your CNA class? I hope so!
Sounds awesome about your interview... that was with Bryan right? I will totally keep my fingers crossed!
Metro is slow with everything, again, it has a lot of students, so that is an issue.
I was just in Lincoln this week... had to make a visit to my old haunts downtown... so much fun!

Thanks! Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool to be able to find people in NE doing the same thing. SCC is pretty cool, I do most of my classes online when I can. I've gone down to ESQ for a couple of my classes though, since its closer than the other campus. I like SCC because of the online classes. They do seem to be a bit slow with somethings though (I think its because there are so many students there) That is one of the reasons I am trying to transfer to a more personal school.

I did my interview for Nursing School on Thursday. The lady told me that there are 85 applicants so far (they take them until June 1st) and there are only 55 spots open--way to make me anxious! But she said that I was a strong candidate, so I feel a little better now... lol

Awesome! I'm sure you will get in! Keep me posted when you get details. I'm so excited for you! (And super happy to be getting to know people.) How do you like SCC? I went there eons (eons being 11 years ago), both dowtown and the campus off O street. I love Lincoln, and miss it terribly. LOL!
