    You'll get a two-day orientation to the hospital (very general -- HIPAA, fire safety, that sort of thing), a two-day computer orientation, and a two-day nursing orientation (this may or may not be after you actually start working). Then you get about 10 weekly classes with just the NICU new grads -- these are the best part, because they're tailored to exactly what you need to know on the unit, whereas most of the stuff from the nursing orientation will be too general or aimed at adults or older kids). You'll start working shifts on the floor with your preceptor probably the same week that you start the NICU classes; don't worry, it's not quite as intimidating as it sounds ;-)
