- Yeaha, that's exciting that your in the "IN" group!!!
I completely know what your saying about not remembering things, which is why I always feel the need to read everything!! which takes forever!! I think when you start doing the questions on the CD (did you practice those before your other tests?) and review all rationals that things will come back to you and/or be solidified b/c they are so random and if you still don't remember at that time then take the time to look up the info and review it and take notes. I have huge poster sheets on my one of my walls which I have written in different color markers the stuff that I'm not so strong in and for fast facts to review or look at as a reference.
It depends on how you learn, I'm a kinesthetic learning (by doing/visual). I also learn best by learning something when I hear it, see it or read it in multiple ways which is why I like all the forums (even other sites) b/c people explain things differently.
Um, the info...I'm sure I have it somewhere. Is it on any of the forums?
I think you put your email and test date in subject line of email, then:
When you graduated
How many times you've taken the test
? now I can't remember the rest. I'll try to find it for you.
Don't stress, it only makes it worse. Just know that it's proven that her review works (and it's hard to be patient and know that we will be able to recall the info. when we need to)! And that we will both get thru this. Lets just do what we can for today, and then take tomorrow when it comes. We will cover all the material. We can also quiz each other every now and again just to see where we are with our content and give eachother input.
The ques. on the CD are suppose to train your brian to think a certain way and I think that's the important part, no so much about specific details (except labs, etc). It's more like the big picture of it all, and whether you know it or not you do know the basics of what we need to know, we learned that in school.
So, for now....just calm down. We can stress a few days before!!!!
Hows that sound? - Mar 06, 2009 02:05 PM - permalinkSunshineBSNHi, I wanted to send Suzanne a PM message for her plan bc she said that I'm still eligible for her plan but the thread for what to send her has been deleted. I was wondering if you could send me or reply back the specific information that she asks to send her. Thanks
- OMG that is defiantly true. It's all about knowing how to answer the questions!! Which is what I thought I studied all three times, three different ways!!UGGG. But of course you do need a good level of knowledge, of course you know that. But I was told that someone without a nursing degree should be able to answer these questions without knowing much! Well, I studied that way and thought I was doing so good! Guess not!! YEAH, were going to conquer it!
- OMG, your telling me. I've been on the National Health Institute site researching grants/scholarships/fellowships and intern opportunities.
What am I doing????I swear, I think I'm burnt out. I feel as if I know the information and am so ready to learn new information.
But..I know what I have to do!!!UGGG.
I'm hear for you, and i need you there for me to keep me going!!! - Mar 02, 2009 03:37 PM - permalinkSunshineBSN.....
- I will be testing for my 4th time as well
I am in Fort Collins, CO. and my test date is April 24th (I wanted to take sooner but in order to do Suz. plan I had to move it back). Lets keep in touch. I know when I used Saunders book/cd my second time testing it was the closest I came to passing out of the 3 times. So, I know your in good hands. I'm trying to do as you do and focus on studying 3 hr. min a day. I read somewhere that if you did that for 45 days straight you should be prepared!?
Have a great focus day! - Hey, why did she stop giving out her plan? Do you mean that she is done sending them for this next group? or forever? I have not received anything yet. I'm only ahead of you b/c I used this book before.
I understand about people not understanding how difficult it is to prepare for this and the amount of time it takes to prepare! That in itself (preparing) is challenging enough w/life happening at the same time. People don't realize that when they put more pressure on you, it just stresses us out more and causes more anxiety than we need. I feel for you girl!
So, I think we should just take that energy and focus it into our studying. You are where you are and you can't do anything about that, you (we) are taking the steps you need in order to best prepare yourself. Sure, you could just go take it....and perhaps not pass but that only puts you that much further behind.
I forget where you are located? As well as if this is your first time taking it or not?
Thanks for your number
- Do you mean how far I am with the first tip? Or actually doing tip 2? I'm still a little confused as to how it works. I had to change my test date in order to be eligible for her plan and I've have not received anything from her. I don't even know if she snail mails it to us or emails it to us, do you? Are you taking her advice as to only studying 3 hours a day or are you doing more?
