Yea I've been looking on craigslist and kijiji and I will be heading to BC in July (1 month ahead of time) to look for a place to live. That way I can be there in person to see the place I'm planning on renting. I have a small jack russell...he's only about 16lbs and well trained. He's very lovable so hopefully that'll help me out! I've also heard that you need to ask to see the person's house tax form and match their name with the name on their driver's license - to ensure you're renting from the owner! Thanks for all your help and if you see anything around Vancouver for rent, think of me!!!

Thanks for the response about where to live. You seem really knowledgeable - that's great. If you have anymore tips for me I'd love it. I will have a car...but also a small dog which puts a damper on places that I can rent. But I'm moving across the country so I'm not leaving my pup along with everything else I'm leaving behind!
