Hi iich- Thanks for the congrats! :] About the NCLEX: I didn't study at all. I looked over the necessary math formulas about 15 minutes before the exam. The experience was okay. The questions are incredibly hard - and I'll tell you why... The majority of them do not have the obvious wrong answers. There are no hints in the questions either. If you're going to study -- Study your Med-Surg books and look at diseases. It really is hard to study for the exam though since you don't know what you're gonna be tested on. Tips: Slow down and re-read the questions. Sometimes you can eliminate answers just because of the question. Pay attention to what the question is asking. I can't think of any examples, but you'll see what I mean. Remember that you're not going to know whether you passed/failed until the day comes for your results. You're going to get about 50% wrong. That's how the test works! Remember that it's normal to feel like you failed. Just about everyone does, we're not used to getting only 50%! The only thing I can really tell you is to do your best. Really work on eliminating the wrong answers when all the answers are right. Picking the "best" answer is what you're gonna see. In the end, the test isn't as bad as the stress afterwards. Good Luck to you!! Let me know how it goes!

I don't know what's so top secret about it either. That's what is so bizaare. However, PerasonVue says that it is illegal to share information about the exam, and the way that she is going about it bothers me. You have to PM her, she won't post the plan, it's all very top secret, and she refuses to discuss it. I also find her to be very snooty about her knowledge and find that very frustrating. Her "plan" is that you go through the Saunders book and do every single practice test in the book. Then she emails twice a month this top secret plan. As many people as pass with this, I have just wondered if she has previously worked for PearsonVue or something, but something in my gut tells me to stay away from it. Very strange indeed.

I have no idea what to tell you. I would stay away from Suzanne's plan. From what I am reading it may be illegal, and I didn't want to go that route. I did Saunders AND Kaplan myself, and just went over and over questions. I didn't really study content, but what I found is that the questions that I was asked were a lot of common sense questions. Just knowing your stuff. Best advice? Go the bathroom before you test. I didn't do this, and had to go pretty badly by the time it was done. Stay positive, and read the questions carefully. As I was going through this, I caught myself a couple of times almost answering wrong because I hadn't thoroughly paid attention. Good luck! The wait is absolutely KILLING ME. There is no reason these idiots can't tell you right then and there that yes you passed, or no go back and study some more .
