Would you know where Glendale is? Is that Glendale, California?

    Thanks,

Help! I am turning to my local friend for advice, as now I am confused on where to live...I have 3 choices. Brier Creek (brand new apt, beautiful), apts called Woodstone at Croasdaile Farm (3 miles from school, considered luxury apts, but not brand new), and a brand new luxury apt complex in Cary (18.5 miles to school). I know the place near Duke sounds great, but there are no decent gyms in the area. So, I can drive 17 miles to a good gym in Chapel Hill, or I can live in Cary, commute to school and go to either O2 Fitness or Lifetime Fitness (huge and wonderful, with lots of classes). I don't know how to choose--the Cary apt is brand new and HUGE. What would it be like to commute to Duke from Cary??? Please offer advice and thoughts. Thanks!

I know...it will be great! Hey, I think I've found my apartment. It's in Brier Creek (The Villas at Brier Creek - brand new). Do you have any opinions on the area? I think it will take 15-20 minutes to get to school from there (which is fine with me).

Right now, the move is planned for the last week in July, putting us there right around August 1. I don't know the exact date for the start of school, but I think it's somewhere right around the middle of the month. I want to get there a couple of weeks before orientation to get unpacked and settled in. Right now, 5 months seems like forever, but I know it will go fast. And OMG, I was so excited yesterday that I didn't even sleep for 2 hours last night--my mind is racing. Were you like that when you first found out? I can't wait to meet you!!

Thanks!!! I really am SO excited and I know that God has put me in the right place. I cannot wait for August! I've already started looking at apartment websites, and I think I've found my new gym. It's called O2 Fitness--do you know it?

It was great!! My faculty interviewer was so nice, and the interview itself was just so laid back and personal. I think we established a good connection, and she said that she hopes we get to meet in the Fall, so I am going to take that as a good sign. I was excited about Duke before, but after today I am even more excited! You are SO lucky to already be accepted...hopefully I will have an answer early next week. My interviewer didn't give me any idea as to when we would hear, but then again, I didn't ask. I'll keep you posted.
