Thanks for the reply, Ma'am. My question was, as to date we haven't received our license yet cause its still under process. And it was stated on CA website that if I cannot provide a license number, I have to submit a letter of explanation. And as such, does it have to be handwritten?

And I've also read a lot of threads about CA license not issued if one doesn't have a SSN#. That's the discouraging part. And is it true that CA NCLEX is much tougher compared to other states?

    Thanks for your time.

There is no way to apply for the NCLEX exam for any state. You are going to be applying for licensure as an RN to the state that you have selected. CA actually is requiring the local license and they want to see proof of the number that is issued to you; there is nothing for you to handwrite. All they will do is send you a letter that your file is not complete. But before you do a thing, suggest that you have a good read on the International Forum for all of the reasons that you should not be going thru CA if you do not already hold a SSN# and a visa to work there already. Much has been written on this topic.
