Thanks for replying back! Where you are currently working is that where you want to be, or are there areas in the hospital you'll like to be? I would love to be in NICU but I just can't wait to start my clinical rotaions to actually know and get a feel of what's to be in different floors, there are so many that attract my attention-but I guess I'll find out for sure what's for me.

Hello, just wanted to mention that I like the attitude on different posts of yours. Young but strong and not afraid to talk. I like that. Also, I like the fact that you're young and already working, may I ask, are you an RN, LVN? just curiosity-

hey, i am so sorry! i JUST saw your message!

the interview went well, but i did not receive the job. in the end, it went to someone with experience (go figure, right). the good news is that the nurse manager invited me to an "invite only" career fair at their hospital with open interviews. i did two and, might just have a job on othopedics starting monday. YAY! i'm keeping my fingers crossed, but if it doesn't work out...it jsut wasn't meant to be.

Hello..I read your post and I wanted to mention something that helped me during nursing school. You can never go wrong by addressing anything that is on the current years National Patient Safety Goals. For instance: falls...is the pt on pain meds, altered loc, etc. The problem could be the potential for falls. Interventions....non slip socks, call bell within reach, side rails up, ect. Evaluation...your patient was safe and didn't fall.

In my experience if you address things that are not only problems but potential problems and especially if they are on the NPSG list...you can't loose. You can get a copy of the NPSG online. Hope that helps a little!
