All jobs in health care are important. None moreso than yours. A CNA in LTC has the most over-worked, under-paid , and un-appreciated job I know. You are the person who, bottom line, takes care of people who can no longer do it themselves. The fact that society views this as menial works only shows how messed-up our priorities really are. I know not all CNAs do a great job. Not all of any profession does. But one who does is worth so much more than you could ever be paid. Don't ever let ANYONE tell you your job is unimportant or somehow less-than. Your patients, I promise you, know better.
