Yes I work in Longview in the ED....We have a great department with a staffing ratio of 3 to 1 most of the time...we are a busy department with a lot of changes lately--growing/remodelling/new management etc. We have recently remodeled with TV's and computers in every room. We use T-System computer charting for all of our charting (except trauma, procedural sedation, codes). We are finally going to be completely done with our remodel Feb 16 and actually have more beds available, right now we have about 28 I think we will have close to 40 beds. Hope this helps I will be happy to answer any other questions you have. Is a great place to work in my opinion, I have worked at others as agency and none were as well run as ours.

Are you working in Longview? I have a possible travel offer to work at St. John's in the ER and would love to find out about it. pererau at gmail

Yes it is predominantly white...we tend to have more hispanic than black but I have not seen a problem with racism for either. This community is not known for racism and I have had many black friends who had more problems in Portland and Seattle which have higher percentage minorities than us. In other words I would not make this part of your decision.

    Hello,
I am an African American LPN and I am interested in the online LPN to RN program in Longview. I am very scared to apply because the town is predominantly white. Is it true? Please be very honest.
