I got a job! Fulltime, salaried Home Health right here in Tampa. The office is 5 minutes from my home. I ordered GPS unit from Amazon yesterday. I start Monday. Fair pay, just 2.00 less an hour than the hospital, (and I won't be killing myself)! Good benes, nice supervisor, small company, friendly staff. I will be covering Hillsborough Cty, they provide cell and pay 45cents/mile. All in all, I think it will be great, as long as I stay on top of paperwork daily. I did HH before and loved it. At least here in FL I won't be dealing with SNOW, unshoveled steps, ice, etc. big plus!!! No heavy coats, boots. I can wear scrubs and bought a Totes poncho for the sudden rainstorms.Take care.Let me know how you are doing, please.

Hey! i read ur thread at http://allnurses.com/general-nursing...829-page8.html. so what did u end up doing? change your career? or still do Rn nursing? i am kinda slow too and am lookinng for slow paced, low stress nursing environments. i am an lvn now and am even questioning if this field is for me and if i should even get my rn or bsn. i really dont know. i really am not that fast and need some time to think too. i did nursing home and it was a ton of work with 30-35 pts. and u got to be fast and it was stressful. so what do u do now? : )
