Hey. Just found your thread. I am agnostic/atheist as well. Mostly, I'm just apathetic towards all things having to do with religion. As long as it isn't being forced on me, someone else, or getting in the way of doing things, I don't care. I've "prayed" with families before. I'll just join hands and bow my head with them, I don't mind. If it helps them feel better, I don't care. Going on a huge rant on "you know, there really isn't a god?" doesn't help some 85 year old lady who is going to die soon anyway.

Ironically enough, I'm listening to the band Bad Religion. =)

But yeah. There are more and more atheists/agnostics in the world now than ever before and there will only continue to be more. People just need to remember that not everyone believes the same things they do. I try to follow that same advice by simply ignoring anything to do with religion.

We can talk more about this if you would like. I'd like to get your perspective. I don't know if I'm going to read every post of your thread, there is a lot of ground to cover.

Well, it was really a good thread up until page 8 or so. Then a touch scattered in beyond that. Good luck, and congrats, Cinqui.

Yes, the "pages and pages" stuff happens, but it's usually due to argumentative fanatics with persecution complexes, lolololololol.

Best of luck to you.....enjoy your twelve weeks! I'm starting in less than three weeks and am biting my nails until then!!

I really really tried to avoid that stuff. It's like pages and pages of not what I want =P Alas, these are forums, and it happens. I'm sure I find my way into those battles in other threads, too.

    Howdy,
Thanks for your thread asking how atheists handle faith-based requests from religious people.

As you've probably noticed, the discussions can go waaaaayyyyy off topic and some people can go all righteous on you without even trying, apparently.

I hope you found some constructive comments that will be helpful as you begin your journey into a nursing career.

    All the best,
    Kim (aka HvnSntRN)
