Hello, unfortunately i'm still looking for one. It's hard for me I really don't know if I'm doing something wrong but it's just tough. I've applied at every hospital I can think of, SunRise Hospital alone I applied for 18 positions online and I didn't get any calls just from that one hospital alone! I've tried going to the hospital in person and going to Human Resources and they said there's no one I can talk to, and nothing I can do but apply online just like everyone else. I think it's due to the economy, even my sister who is a Nurse is having trouble getting me into her agency and it's taking forever. She did say that she saw my name on the list for people considered for interveiw at her agency but I've been waiting for 2 weeks now and still nothing. I'm desperate just to start..but no one is even giving me a chance. Well I hope this letter does not discourage you, regardless of the situation of the economy what matters is that you pass your NCLEX. Vegas might be experiencing a bad situation but not all states are suffering like this. I Have an auntie in texas who says that they need Nurses there, and they actually give you a sign on bonus just to start! She's in the Nursing feild as well...I might consider relocating but I dont know that takes time to get your license transfered and more money again..
may i know if you already found a nursing job in the hospital? i am also a foreign trained nurse form the phils but havent taken my nclex. i am an immigrant here in vegas.
