I just looked at your personal info and noticed that you are an LPN. Then, most of the classes would be online for you, including the core classes such as med-surg, OB/Peds, psych and some others. The cost is a little more if you are an LPN-from what my LPN classmates have told me. They have to do 5 clinical days/semester compared to our 10. Hope this gives you a little more info.
I am still attending Presentation-for one more year. I have been able to take some of the elective courses online but I have heard rumors that they are trying to change this. These may just be rumors so do not take my word on it. Classsroom lecture is used definitely for A&P, Micro, and then the nursing core classes (or this is the amount that I have done at the school). Clinicals are based around the area-Fairmont, Blue Earth, Mankato. Clinicals are 1-2 days a week-depending on the instructor. The pros of the program are that it is very small and we, at Fairmont, have awesome instructors. You can go in and talk to them at any time. The cons are the price of the program-it is quite expensive. As for a wait list, there was not one when I applied to the program. That has changed because people have heard of the program and so there has been alot of applicants.I know that not everyone who applied made it in last year. Are you from the area?
Hi...I know this post is old, but are you still at Presentation and if so, could you please give me a little bit of info as to how much is done online vs in classroom, how clinicals work, pros/cons of the program, is there a wait list to get in, etc... ANY info would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
