I have gone part time the whole program. I have 2 children and most of the students work. I didn't work until I went for my lpn and then took a job casual in a ltc facility. I've taken at least 2 of my theory classes online through NWTC. I loved it and did really well! They tell you that you have to wait to see if they have openings in the online class, but it's just like MPTC, nursing students sign up before the general public. You just keep calling on general public sign up time and I didn't have any problems getting in. I was one of the only ones who weren't working. I chose not to because my 'other' half was starting his own business so his hours were long and mixed. I took the lpn route because I really wanted to gain the hands on experience. Even though I had been a cna for many many many years, I wanted the practice with meds and skills. I took the pn exam during the summer and kept right on going with school. I hope this helps and feel free to pm me with any other questions or if you need to bounce something off of someone who's been there! Good luck! When do you start? They told me there was a 2-3 yr wait list, but it didn't take nearly that long; I even told them no one semester because I just wasn't ready to take on A&P2 and nursing classes. I get really stressed with class room stuff.

Hi Chevyv! Thanks for your reply. It is nice to meet someone who knows about the moraine park program first hand. I was wondering how much you are working while in school or if you have kids. I am just trying to figure out how much I can handle. Does anyone go part time? or does anyone take anything online from other WI tech schools? I was really planning on some online classes off the etechcollege website, but Sherry at moraine park said that usually doesn't work out. But I read a lot on here about people who take the online classes so now I am confused. have a great day and thanks for the info! ps I hope i did this right and that this is the PM thing. I am new here :-)
