    Hi,
I wondered if i could ask about hemofiltration please.
    In particular about APTT.
We are about to begin to use Prismaflex by Gambro. These machines do not have needle free connections so to check an APTT we have to use a needle to withdraw the blood from the circuit. We could remove the blood from the A-Line but there is a marked difference in the readingss and it is the heparinisation of the filter circuit and not the patient that we are interested in.
How do you do this in your dept?
    Many thanks,
    Dx
