Swimcatz, yes I did go there but no, I do not know anyone who attended on scholarship in return for working at one of our hospitals, that started after I left. Remember, nothing comes for free though. UM/SCCC and UMH are different for the purposes of HR but welcome. Alot has changed since I went to UM, staff especially. But, it is something to be proud of and it may not mean more money, at first, but it is an accomplishment. If you are going into nursing for money, you are in the wrong field. But that is another topic altogether. The advice I can impart on you goes for when you become a new nurse: Slow down and breath, step back for a moment and look at the situation from a little distance. Remember, you are no good to anyone, most especially you, if you are frazzled. And, have a hobby or something you enjoy doing that is completely away from nursing.

    Sure, why not?
Maybe you'll have time to come by the unit more often, I know that Dr. B...keeps you busy! and you never sleep!!! Maybe you'll have time to come to the barn. Did you check up on jacem715? I'll probably see her later at the farm. Not sure when exactly.
Anyway, see ya soon, one place or another.
I'll give you contact information when I see you.

    End Game, RN

Hi I saw you had made a remark in one of the University of Miami threads, I was wondering did you go there? If so do you happen to know anyone who received the Nursing Scholars Scholarship (full tuition in exchange for a few years of working at their hospital)? Thanks!
