Why do doctors have to be such A_ _ holes? A doc. stopped me in the hall today after I had left my office to go to the big bosses office w/ an order and asked me to help him. Of course I said "Sure, what do you need me to help with" (this is an anesthesia doc). He asked me to go into a patient room and see if one of the nurses could come out. So, I got in the room and saw the OB doc sewing up a lady after a delivery and the two nurses busy w/ mom and baby. So, I said "Dr. So and So wants to know if one of you two can come out for a minute?" Well, one said "What does he want?" and I said "I don't know, he just asked me to come in and see if you could come out." So one nurse does (who also happened to be our manager, I"m the educator) and she jumps my butt about how I worded it and that the patient might get mad if she wanted and epidural and he didn't get there fast enough etc. Well, I told him I have no idea what was going on and who wants empidurals or not, etc. Then he said, "too much drama". I about blew up. I do not get mad easily. I'm a very low key person. I am so mad I could spit bullets. I did say something to him about 10 min later on how I thought he was rude and disrespectful to me, etc and and he just thought I had lost my mind. What is up w/ these doctors that can be such butts. I'm still mad at him. He is rude too. Everytime I've ever seen him I will say, good morning, afternoon, hello, etc. sometimes he will return it and sometimes not.!! What a jerk. Thanks for letting me blow steam.
