If I get any job leads, I'll let you know. How far are you from Vassar, Putnam? The recruiter called before the holidays but I can't seem to get a hold of her to schedule an interview... They have positions available...Try applying online..

I'm so sorry but Have faith!!! Things will work out!!! The Med/Surg Nurse Manager at South Nassau really liked me but right now they don't have a position available so I have to wait until something becomes available but I'm still searching in the mean time... It's really hard getting hired in hospitals right now bccause nobody's retiring... Upstate NY is hiring but the pay is horrible and I live so far from there... I don't know... I'm so desperate right now that I may consider moving... I interviewed with Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, NY and they offered me the job on their progressive care unit at $22/hr... I couldn't believe it... My start date would be in March... If I don't get anything between now and March, I'll take it, get some experience.... Hang in there... Who would have thought that we'd be graduating into a severe recession?

    Hi,

Thanks for responding, I apply for a job in St. Johns Hospital in Yonkers, I think they were going to hire me for ICU but I made a terrible mistake. I was talking to the Director of Nursing, explaining to her that I reply for a positions in the Hospital. I was telling her if these jobs dosen't work, can I be consider for something else. However the ICU director was nearby an over heard my conversation and she misheard. She thought I was going over her head, but I was just asking her if I could be consider for something else. The ICU director told me off, and then got a email the next day I'm won't be consider. In NYC nobody hiring new grads, I'm trying to get hired in Long Island and now that seems slim. I don't know what to do. Bills are not being paid. I hope things work out for you in S. Nassau Hospital. I can't even get the money to take the boards.
