HI Bumblebee, pardon this private message, but I can't help to notice how friendly you are at answering questions; you must be a great nurse!!

Reading back a few threads ,I saw part of your scholastic history stating that you went initially to MDC then you transitioned to Nova and finished at BCC.

I'm currently at MDC finishing my prerequisites hopefully by this summer '09, but I wanted to ask you two questions in regards to applying at BCC.

First, where did you take those certification classes? Did you take those at MDC (if so, do you remember the class codes); are they full semester classes? or just some courses you can take in a couple of weeks?

Other is that Health class, was it hard? was it alot of work at MDC? reason why i ask , is i'm going to take microbiology in summer with another class DEP2000, not sure if HSC class is too much with the other 2.

Thank you so much for your help Bumblebee!!

Thank you so much for the detailed reply! :-) It sounds like the road I need to take. I live in South Miami, so I am kind of in the same boat. I'm taking micro with the lab right now at BC, and am waiting to see if I get into their May LPN to RN nursing program. But the drive is SO long. I would hate to have to do it another two years (driving to a school up there), instead of just one year, once I finally get accepted. I have the GI Bill and College Fund from the Army, but only until November 2011. So I want to have a game plan in place, so that I can continue straight through, without too many road blocks. That way even if I have to pay a little on my own toward the end of the degree, at least the military would pay the bulk of it. Again, thanks for the reply. And good luck with your studies!

Bumblebee, I am hoping to get into the transition nursing program at BC for May. I already turned everything in last week. Anyway, I read that you are doing the online BSN program at FIU. I am very interested in continuing on with my BSN, once I finally complete the program at BC. How is the AA determined at FIU? Do we automatically have it or are additional classes needed? Also, is the online course easy to stick to? I would think yes, because we have due dates and exams, right? But I'm only making sure, because I tried distance learning a couple years ago. And I never did my courses, because I didn't have to answer to anyone. LOL Thanks in advance.
