Hi Mahage,
Are you still going to graduate school. I wanted your advice on how to prepare for Nursing research and advanced patho? Any advice, please if possible send any study guides or material that has helped. I am so nervous about these classes. I appreciate any guidance you can send my way. Thank you! Hope all is well.
Hi Mahage! I noticed that I never got back to you. Here is an update. I have been working on a med-surg floor for the last 2 months (they give a 3 month preceptorship) and I really love where I am working. I think med surg might be my place! I live in Louisville, Ky but am originally from Bklyn, NY. Heck of a change! In about 4 weeks, I will be on my own with 8 patients, 1 tech, unit secy and on the 3-11 shift. Hope you are doing well. Joanne
Hi Mahage! You know, I never got this message that I now a seeing on your profile. How did that happen???? Sorry about not responding. I live in Louisville, KY. PM me anytime, I am starting a new job on Monday. What are you up to? Joanne
Hi Lucky! Where are you located? Are you here in Chatt. Reply and lets talk more. I think we probably have a lot to talk about. Thanks for the complements. Corliss/Mahage
I am about the same age as you (I'm 59) and just graduated in December. I started out in ED right out of school and lasted 2wks! I loved it, but evidently they didn't love me! Said I was just not getting it after only 5 shifts. After the shock, I am now hoping to hear on Monday if I got a job at another hospital on Med-Sj...they are waiting for background ck to come back, so it looks good. I want you to know that I really enjoy your posts and encouragement to those of us who might be struggling. Thanks, Jo
Hey Mahage...Thank you again. I am sure once I get to use my skills again I will feel much better. I have to keep remembering .. it was not the skills it was the environment. Many Blessings..SUSAN....
