- Hi Pogi,
I just was accepted to USN. I was wondering if you can give me any feedback on the program. I live in CA now. I think I would like to get licenced in CA. Where are you planning to get licensed? Thank you pogi. - Hi pogi,
I have an inteview at USN on tue. feb. 10th. I was wondering if you can give me any recommendations on ways to better prepare myself for the interview. How did you like the program? Did you the like the block system they have? Thanks for the info, tell me anything you can I'm all ears. - Hi Vegasnurse2be,
I actually took the TEAS to get into the BSN program at NSC (got accepted, but declined offer). I did not purchase the manual to study for the TEAS. It is general math, science, and english questions. I didn't study for it because I wasn't really sure WHAT to study. I would actually recommend that you buy a manual if there is one available because every little bit helps. If you have never taken Physics, I suggest you review some general physics information because I recall on my exam that there were quite a few questions that I struggled with because I took Physics so long ago. The school uniforms just changed for the new class. They are white scrubs with blue trim on the sleeves and v-neck collar. My class had white polos and blue scrub pants with a jacket. The new uniforms are a lot better because they look more professional and comfortable. I'm sure they will have scrubs to fit you. As for the cost of USN, there are a lot of loans available and grants if you are qualified. A majority of my classmates took out private loans. We were all worried about having to pay back so much money, but we'll manage of course! Good luck with your application to USN. Just remember to think about why you want to be a nurse before walking into your interview because they will ask and assess your desire and commitment. I am also telling you this because this program takes a lot of hard work and it will be your true desire and love for the profession that will help you get through it. I have classmates that don't really want to be nurses and it really shows in their performance and attitudes. Sorry to ramble, but I have learned a lot in the past 16 months in this program (in class and in the hospital) and I want to help others going through it to do well! Good luck and don't hesitate to come to me for advice along the way! - Jan 10, 2009 07:21 PM - permalinkvegasnurse2beHello pogi. I read some of your posts. You made me want to apply to USN, although I know it is costly. Did you purchase the Manual to study for the TEAS exam? I am taking my prereqs through the beginning of July but will apply before the deadline to start in the fall. What are the nursing unifrorms like? Whenever I buy scrubs I have to get petite because I am very short. Well if you have any advice or anything to give me about USN feel free. Graduation is right around the corner for you. Best wishes.
