Hi there. I want to work on their pedi unit so badly. I applied previously for a 36 hour position and then again a few days ago for a 32 hour position. I've been in touch with the recruiter who is forwarding my information to the nurse manager, Deb. I graduated last May and have been working as a charge nurse in an inpatient pedi psych unit since October. Do you know anything about the pedi unit? What are the chances? Do they consider recent grads? I've been trying to obtain certifications to boost my resume (NRP/STABLE, working on PALS) and I had a lot of experience in various high acuity settings so I'm hoping that will help me even a little bit. I'm really frustrated because it's been almost seven months and I still don't have a fulltime job, so I'm hoping against hope this will work out for me. Also, do you happen to know what starting pay is? I know it's a lot lower than the Boston area where I live but I couldn't care less at this point, I'll take a pay cut to work in my dream field. Thanks in advance for answering my questions.
