I wish you the very best of luck and success in your education and throughout your career. I can safely say (now that I'm on this side of the NCLEX...) that all of the work and drama is worth it. I learned that school is only temporary; education and career last a lifetime. You'll do great, and I'm looking forward to hearing great things!
Thank you very much for your posting! The name change just happened today, so you didn't miss anything...! NCLEX was this past Thursday, and I found out online today. I can hardly believe it, but it feels awesome! Thanks again!
How ARE you??? I never seem to get here... school probably has something to do with that, although I can't use that as an excuse any longer... I hope all is well with you.
I wanted to thank you for answering all my questions about LIU. It was a surprise, but I found out this past Monday that I was accepted to NYU, and after mulling it over for a day, I realized it was best I go there instead. Lost some money in the process, but I think it will be worth it in the end. Good luck with your last year and enjoy your summer!!
Yes I start in September! I'm obviously expecting the worst from what i've heard from the LIU crew, but still excited to get started. I'm pretty much planning on approaching it as failure not being an option. Are there any students that managed to do well despite the circumstances with the school?
Thanks, I'll definitely do that. I've also been looking into some of the hospitals I'd be interested in. A paid externship would be ideal. Columbia-Presb. has a 9 week program that doesn't require med-surg, though I think its unpaid.
Did you have any med/surg clinicals this year? I was looking into a lot of the NYC nurse externships, which ideally I'd like to do during the summer between my junior/senior year, but it seems like they want you to have atleast one med/surg clinical done in order to be considered. I feel like most schools would set it up that way, no?
