Hi there,
First, congratulations for making into the program.

As to words of wisdom, I'm not sure I can say in this little box what you ought to know. The time is short, and while it feels intense, you will be done before you know it. Some people religiously did all the reading. There was a lot to keep up with. I followed the lectures meticulously, taking notes on and around the printed slides. Then used the chapters in the text as a review, scanning the "alert" boxes in particular and paying attention to the parts of the text the teachers pointed out. Otherwise, it's hard to figure out which of the boat-loads of information is most important. Anyway, good luck to you, and congratulations again.
Oh also very important. If you haven't already, get a job as an aide (PCA, whatever) in a hospital that you would like to work. You can apply once you've finished your first semester. I did at MGH at my clinical unit after completing my stint there. It's a tough market for new grads, and this will give you an inside track to a job when you're done. You only need to work a shift per week or so, but you'd still be an insider. Plus the experience is great.
