You have to work in HIV for a few years. If I wanted to get into HIV I'd get a BSN and look into public health, that may be where some jobs are. Then look into outpatient clinics that have HIV in them........you can work your way there. It's a wonderful place to be. Debra

I am currently a BSN student and whenever people ask me what kind of nursing I would like to do, I tell them that I want to be an AIDS/HIV nurse. I'm really trying to figure out how to do that, though, as it doesn't seem to be a specialty many schools provide an education for. How did you get your ACRN? I would love to ask you some questions.
