Thanks for your message, I just saw it now.
I really do mean everything I've said about it - i'm happy with the route that I chose because it was the one that best fit all of my personal goals and needs. And it's really worked out well so far.
I mean, in one year of school-and in this HORRIBLE economy- I got a job paying $45,000 a year with good benefits and a three day work week. It's not an easy job, by any means - I earn every penny of that wage - but it's a good job and i'm thankful for it.
I get annoyed with people who constantly downplay the importance of LPN's or the wisdom in becoming one. Those RN's would be a lot less pleased with their working conditions if one day all the LPN's were gone and they had to carry on without us.
Good luck in school - it's hard work, but keep the faith and work your tail off because it's worth it. The harder you work now in this next year, the easier it'll be when you get into the real world. And one big lesson - nurses really can be B*TCHES, pardon my french!!!! As a whole, nurses can be very critical of one another - so don't listen to all the nay-sayers who tell you you're going about your career plans the wrong way. Make sure it's right for YOU!
Good luck!
