Hi Malaski, I actually worked in the liver transplant SICU at UCLA and have many friends that worked in the CTICU. It would probably be easist to call me. I would be glad to try and answer any questions you have. 562-242-5414
In a previous post you mentioned the following information:
"What I like about Kaiser is that when you meet with them during your "counseling" session they will not BS you. They will tell you what you need to do to increase your chances of gaining admission to their program and then it is up to you to do it. They will tell you that they get enough applicants to be selective so do what they recommend if you really want to go there. Good luck and feel free to PM me if you have specific questions."
So I am curious, What do they tell you to increase your chances of gaining admission to their program?
I am a new BSN grad, and I am thinking what I want to do in a few years. I just interviewed for UCLA's SICU/Liver Transplant and CTICU, and I am still wondering what would be the best fit for me.
I think CRNA school would be a good challenge for me (after working for a few years of course), and the thought of bringing people "back from the dead" seems so fascinating and exciting. I have talked to a few CRNA's, and I have not met one who is not satisfied with their job. Furthermore - each one encouraged me to go to CRNA school. I just want to make sure I really want to do it before I make a commitment to that goal. I would really appreciate your input on this matter!
