HA! I just finished posting a reply to your message on my birthday thread! People will see that thread, and ask why I've resurrected it when my birthday has been over since 29November. Anyhoo...it's all good!

So, it won't be too much longer before you graduate and join the ranks of the nursing profession! Good for you! I remember you being so sick, so I know this journey has not been an easy one for you, but hang in there...it's almost over, and will soon be paying off for you! You're amazing to have had the stamina to keep on going to the finishline. Pat yourself on the back twice...one from you, and one from me. You're an inspiration, ya know. I have an AAS in Nursing, too. Will be 22 years come March since I graduated. Wow! Guess that means I'm getting purty darn -- ummm --- 'mature'.

Yes, I'm still in Colorado, and it's Brrrr....butt-butt cold here too! We had a snowstorm last week, and expect to have another one any day now according to our local weatherman's forecast.

I've been back to work now since October of last year. I work in a military hospital on a unit that has both adults and pediatrics. I'm transferring units though come this Tuesday. I'm going to the Mother/Baby Ward. I'm praying it grabs my attention enough to motivate me to return to school. Otherwise...not sure I want to at age fifty-seven. I'd like to retire, but have no money to retire. I want to write books to publish, buy myself a beach house, and marry again. No prospects in mind...sure wish I had one. I've been by myself now five years, and it's getting old to be alone.

(((hugs and Merry Christmas to you, too)))

Hi Renee! I'm so happy to see you here! Things are OK! I'm on break from school, and my LAST semester begins on January 12. I graduate with an AAS in Nursing on May 20; I've been selected to be the student speaker at the ceremony, if you can believe that! Cats are fine; we added Bailey to our family several months ago, and Twister has taken to his role as older brother just beautifully. And of course, it's winter here in the Finger Lakes; our temp is supposed to be single digits tonight. We have snow on the ground, so it looks like it's going to be a very white Christmas. How about you? Are you still in Colorado? The last I remember you had moved there and were interviewing for nursing positions. Has that worked out the way you hoped? I hope so, sincerely. You deserve all good things. I've missed you! I never get to this site anymore; it seems like I'm here only because I'm on school break! Sending hugs, honey, and all my best wishes for a wonderful and beautiful Christmas!
