I'm really glad that the tic-tac-toe method was helpful! Sadly, I'm still lost when it comes to combined Met/Resp imbalances.

I thought so, but wanted to ask someone who knew first hand. I had someone tell me that they will take LVN experience-- which didn't seem right to me. Now that I'm in RN school-- I really can see the difference from the LVN mindset vs. the RN mindset! Very different indeed.

At this very moment, I am studying all the axial and appendicular bones of the body and how one another articulate. It's crazy!

Most of the specialty certifications either require (with a letter from a supervisor) or recommend 1-2 years RN experience in that specialty. RNC requires it, CEN recommends it, CCRN I honestly can't remember. I took the neo versions of RNC and CCRN.
