Kim,
Feel free to! I also wrote Obama shortly after his inauguration via his web site. I am hoping his attempts to fix health care were a result of listening to me..but I feel he may be researching avenues that aren't researched or proven to work. I feel he may be trying to form policy on the issue with very little experience. Being from Illinois, his position while in government in the state was always very "ride the fence" etc. He left most of the work to Blagovich but lets face it..that turned out poorly as well

. As a matter of a fact, he left our nurse practice act in Illinois, the new one with more progressive measures at staffing, etc....unsigned!

So by all means, whatever you need from me I'll be happy to supply. I could even give you a print out of the 27 jobs I've applied for at one hospital, and 24 of them I was turned down for because I do not have one year R.N. experience!

If you graduate in August, I am hoping that things in the job market will have improved by then and prospects for a position might be more readily available, but in the meantime I would get another part time job or something of the like to help finance your after school period. Otherwise have plenty of savings (enough for a year or a year and a half) without employment! Do not be fearful though, I have belief that all things work for those who are trying to good. And that is the basis of nursing itself! Keep up your proactive stance now and throughout your career!
Sincerely,
Katie (morethanamommy)
