    Hello navygirl,
I am currently a sophomore majoring in Nursing, with a minor in Spanish...working towards my BSN. I am interested in joining the Navy after graduating. If possible, could you give me insight on your experience as a Navy nurse...pros and cons? Could you tell me more about their nursing candidate program? I want to travel after graduating and I love a challenge, which is why I believe the Navy would be a great career choice for me. The only thing is, the salary & benefits offer is kind of confusing to me. Do you receive monthly allowance, housing allowance, and a nurse salary? Or will the allowances and salary be put into one lump sum each month? How is the training, is it similar to the training for regular corpsmen (<---not sure about the spelling)? What about deployment? Are Navy nurses stationed in the east coast more likely to get deployed rather than west coast Navy nurses? Sorry, about all the questions...I just feel as though I've found a career that may be just for me! Thank you so much for your time & I look forward to your response!
