Also @psata ....who are you? And are you a nurse or in the healthcare field? Just wondering!
  2. West Coast University

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not taking out any loans for school. I also can't speak for anyone else's success after graduation for school, however I know a good number of graduates personally, who graduated, passed NCLEX first attempt. Al...
  3. West Coast University

Well.....if you can afford it, then you can. If you can't....you can't. Me personally, have a 3.8 sci based gpa, I'm not waiting on a comm college list for years, just for an associates certificate. I agree it's expensive to most. But great school, I...
  4. So how does it feel like to be a male nurse

I'm in nursing school right now, and honestly, I used to think I was being judge when I said I was becoming a nurse.... Whenever I'd tell someone I'm in school, and they'd ask what am I going to be, I'd say "well don't judge me, but a nurse". I didn'...
  5. Should I work while in school?

Keeping the working to a minimum is ideal. However, for a lot of us, including myself, life still has it's curves while in school, so we have to work. The best advice I would say, is don't working somewhere that is flexible, because while in nursing...
  6. Feel like I don't know anything

I could imagine you and others would feel this way, there's so much to learn in nursing school! And not a whole lot of time for application! So, trust yourself, and be willing to still learn even though school is over! That'll be the key. You've clea...
  7. How will I know when I am ready?

I don't think you'll ever feel 100% ready! But you're going to have to be confident and take that step for you, because it's what you want! Don't wait around for that fear or anxiety to go away! Jump in now while you're eager to work and to learn! Go...
  8. West Coast University

WCU is a great program. It is expensive, and the job market for new grads is tough period, no matter what school you attend. WCU is a school you attend if you're 110% committed to nursing. Like I said before, it is expensive. But it's hard work.
  9. West Coast University

Very expensive, but great school. Not too low of a passing rate actually. It's actually pretty good
  10. A&P 1

I say the old fashion way of reading, reading, re reading, then reading again! I was in an accelerated A&P course, which was 8 weeks, we attended classes 3 days a week, and we had 3 exams a week. One day a chapter exam, next day a lab exam, so on...
  11. 2.2gpa - need advice

I think LVN program would be great! I just want to say, any other classes you take, give your all too! Especially if you're in California, nursing is so crowded, we have a million ppl trying to get into nursing school, and the minimum gpa of 2.5 may ...
  12. Anatomy

I think all of what was said is previous comments is completely accurate...I was in an 8 week accelerated A&P as well, and I never did flash cards, I tried didn't work because there's so much info, you'll being doing flash cards forever with no t...
  13. You actually can transfer to any school and get your masters if you go to WCU , since they're wasc accredited.
  14. About West Coast University transfer..(how to)

I'm going to WCU. You have to take your hesi exam passing w/ an 80% or higher. It's a great school, expensive, but great!
  15. Commuting for Accredited school vs Non Accredited?

Well, you'd want to choose the school that's accredited especially if you plan to continue your nursing education, but if not then you'll be fine as long as you get your license.
