    I was just lucky...landed an interview and was hired on the spot. I am thankful for all the experience I have gained. I just work postpartum...only RNs are hired for labor and delivery.

    I work in a hospital on a postpartum unit. As far as I know our unit hires RNs and LPNs. I know many LPNs that work at this hospital on different units. I think it just depends on where you are located.

    The hospital I work at does not hire LPNs to work in L&D. However, they do hire LPNs to work on the Postpartum Unit if you are interested in that, but I don't know if its that way for every hospital.
