Thank you, Sandnnw. Do you feel comfortable not having your own policy? I have had one for 28 years, but I wasn't with the VA then. My policy is coming up for renewal. Thanks for your help.
I know that the VA covers all providers , but I am concerned about not having a personal policy. I still have mine. I was wondering what other VA NPs think.
I have a friend who works in Mississippi and has been an NP for 5 years. She makes less than that an hour. Pay is lower in the South. I think that is a very good starting salary. Of course, as previously posted, you must also consider the benefits.
