   Long Beach Memorial Medical Center has an agreement with CSULB that they will pay for students tuition and books in return for a 2 year committment to work at the hospital after graduation. This is optional of course, but it really is a good deal.

   The $26 per unit tuition rate is for California residents. You have to have lived in California for at least 1 year in order to get that rate. It is significantly higher for out of state students. Sorry - I don't know the out of state tuition rate...

   I forgot about CHOC in Orange County. It is a really well known children's hospital. It is about 15 minutes from the ice rinks in Anaheim.

    In socal, there is Anaheim Memorial that is near 2 ice rinks - both in Anaheim. The rink names are Anaheim Ice & KHS Ice Arena. Not sure if the hospital takes travelers. There is also a rink in Yorba Linda and there is a Kaiser facility nearby...

    I think it would, but you should check with the department directly. It is a good school in a great neighborhood. I definately recommend it.
