About MSNce1

MSNce1 has 34 years experience and specializes in med-surg, mother-baby, teaching, peds.

I have had my RN for 34 years practicing in three different states. My interest in nursing started back in childhood but nursing service experience started at age 16 when I volunteered at The Jewish Community Center working with elderly clientele then through college in nursing homes and hospital. Besides medical-surgical nursing I have practiced in mother-baby, moderate risk antepartum, and GYN nursing, nursing education, and pediatrics. My MSN came from my desire to extend my capabilities, credentials and teach nursing. Currently working in pediatric home care obtaining new skills and about learning business relationship skills. Ongoing certifications and maintenance in nursing afford lifelong learning.

Loved the article on hospice nurse experience. I learned that even non-hospice home care shared many of the same attributes of nursing care approach. Keep writing as your perceptions are very helpful and enlightening.
  3. Positive thoughts and prayers

Of course prayer is needed. As a faith community nurse I feel you are absolutely aware of the influence such event has not only on this student's family but the peers as well. The awareness of such mental health disparity in the community has grown b...
  4. Does anyone get paid hourly any more in home health?

  6. How old is too old to safely practice?
