   And which part of the country do you live in ? Costs of living matter , $35/hr for a new grad , you probably don’t live in a low cost area.

   I agree with you on the first part . Many people assume that nurse make big money . I guess everyone has their defintion of big money, but to me I think we are under paid .

   The nurse was considered to be prudent nurse by her facility since they made her a resource nurse and also a preceptor.I agree with you on the last part that we need to hear from the orientee because somethings does not seem right.

    You did not answer my question, I'm not trying to deter from the original case, because the nurse in question is an ICU nurse. I'm not an ICU nurse, therefore I would not administer ICU medications under normal circumstances especially in this case....
