  1. CONEXUS Med Staff....Experiences?

I have question, since you were already in the US , under what category did you adjust status ? You can pm if you like.
  2. Who Did NOT Do a Year of Med Surg?

I agree , I started on med -surg and still work on med -surg. I would advise that new grad should go for the specialities they want .
  3. Nurses that “only do it for the money”

Yes maybe for you , but majority are doing it because they need the steady income.
  4. Nurses that “only do it for the money”

And which part of the country do you live in ? Costs of living matter , $35/hr for a new grad , you probably don’t live in a low cost area.
  5. Nurses that “only do it for the money”

I agree with you on the first part . Many people assume that nurse make big money . I guess everyone has their defintion of big money, but to me I think we are under paid .
  6. Per diem as a new grad

Check your local job posting in your area to see their requirements. In my area , at least 2 years of experience is required for per diem positions. Also check the minimum required hours required by the facility to make sure that it does not clash...

  10. Nurse Charged With Homicide

You did not answer my question, I'm not trying to deter from the original case, because the nurse in question is an ICU nurse. I'm not an ICU nurse, therefore I would not administer ICU medications under normal circumstances especially in this case....
  11. 2 full-time jobs?

I would highly advise you look for a cheaper route. Either cheaper BSN or ADN program. If you have trouble getting into those schools then you can look at the LPN route and start from there. Have you looked at the wages that new graduate nurses make...
  12. 2 full-time jobs?

I’m not sure you would be able to 2 full time jobs as a new nurse. As a new nurse you will require extensive orientation . Also hospitals offer new grad residency which may also require some time out of your normal work schedule. I would advise you...
  13. Nurse Charged With Homicide

I read the report and I still stand by my points. The nurse was negligenent , no doubt, but there is also systematic problems that worsened the situation. The nurse should definitely be disciplined by the board of nursing, but charging her with crim...
  14. Nurse Charged With Homicide

I look up medication before I administer them especially one thats I'm not so familiar with. Plus I would not work in any area that I do not recieve proper adequate training to work. From what I have witnessed, a float pool nurse is suppose to ha...
