Congratulations and best of luck to you!

What exactly are you having trouble with? Is it just test anxiety?
  3. Are you sure becoming a CNA is right for you?
  4. Not a people person... (Yikes!)

I agree with this. I wouldn't consider myself a "people person." I'm friendly and I care about people, but I prefer to keep to myself most of the time. I don't think this will make me a bad nurse.
  5. Compass test

If you get the chance, let me know how the test goes.
  6. "Critical Thinking"?

Thank you all for the wonderful responses! My next question: Does nursing school teach you to think critically?
  7. Compass test

So the COMPASS test is similar to the GED? I should do fine then. I had to take the GED test because I had to drop out of HS, and they said I was in the top 5% of GED graduates in my state. (Sorry, I know this isn't my thread, but I found it helpfu...

You and I both. Do you know the name of the math course included in your school's LPN program? I think it's different for different schools.
  11. What course was most difficult for you?

Don't even get me started on math. I'm the worst at it. Thankfully, the only math course I'll have to take for my LPN program is "Contemporary Mathematics." I've heard it's easier than College Algebra. Still dreading it though... Why does one need to...
  12. What course was most difficult for you?

Is pharmacology under another name by any chance? I don't see any pharmacology courses as part of my school's LPN program.
  13. What course was most difficult for you and why? I'm just curious. I hear a lot of people talk about how hard A&P is.
  14. CNA's: Please Read

Thank you all for the wonderful, informative responses! I'm still undecided on what to do at this point, but you all have been so helpful. I think one of the things that really bothers me is the pay. CNA's just aren't paid enough for all that they ha...
  15. CNA's: Please Read

My plan is to become a LPN, but I'm pondering becoming a CNA first. I just have a few questions for you CNA's out there: ~ Do CNA's have the option of working nights? ~ How many hours/days a week do you generally work? ~ What was school/training like...
